Itinerary Day-3

Bomi → Midui Glacier → Ranwu Lake → Bomi

Highlights of the Day

  • Midui Glacier (米堆冰川)

  • Ranwu Lake (然乌湖)

  • Scenic drive through snow mountains and valleys

Morning

After breakfast, set out for the Midui Glacier, located in Yupu Township, Bomi County. Known as the most beautiful glacier in China, it is also the lowest-altitude glacier in the world. The glacier is surrounded by forests, rivers, and villages, forming a rare natural wonder where snow-capped peaks and green valleys meet. Walking closer to the glacier, you can admire its towering ice walls, crystal-clear streams, and the magnificent view of snow blending into blue sky.

Afternoon

Continue to Ranwu Lake, one of the most stunning lakes in Tibet. Fed by glacier meltwater, the lake is famous for its turquoise water and mirror-like reflections of surrounding snow-capped mountains. On calm days, the scenery looks like a painting, with forests, meadows, and mountains perfectly mirrored on the lake’s surface. Ranwu Lake is also considered one of the best photography spots in eastern Tibet.

After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, return to Bomi along the same route. The journey back is equally rewarding, with ever-changing landscapes of forests, rivers, and snowy peaks.

Accommodation

Stay overnight at the Bomi Songtsam Linka Hotel (5★) or a similar boutique hotel, ensuring a comfortable rest after a day of exploration.
